Sign up for (and attend) one of the weekly webinars
Attend a Pear Deck session at an event in your area
Submit a sample Pear Deck you made
Present at least 20 times (this is an all-time minimum)
GUIDELINES FOR CREATING YOUR PEAR DECK
The Pear Deck must be a contained lesson or unit (we recommend something that would be one of several partial-class segments)
The Deck should be 5-10 slides (please do not exceed 10 slides)
The Deck must contain at least 3 different question types
Include at least one formative assessment (indicate this in the speaker notes)
Include at least one open-ended question (indicate this in the speaker notes)

PEARDECK 101

Learn how to create Decks using the Google Slides Add-on and Microsoft PowerPoint Online Add-in. We’ll cover how to use templates to add formative assessments, polls, and interactive activities. You’ll also see examples of best practices to help cultivate an engaging classroom with Pear Deck both in-person and in remote learning environments. Plus, we’ll save time for your questions!
ESSENTIAL TOOLS FOR REMOTE LEARNING WITH PEAR DECK
1 hr | Daily | Beginner
Learn the basics of creating and presenting with Pear Deck, best practices for leading discussions and engaging students remotely, and how to use Pear Deck features to facilitate synchronous and asynchronous remote lessons. We’ll save the last 30 minutes for open Q&A to answer your individual questions.
STAYING CONNECTED TO STUDENTS WITH PEAR DECK

Learn how to use and customize Pear Deck resources to stay connected to your students while you're apart during school closures.
We know you're working hard to continue delivering powerful instructional content. This session will focus on bridging the distance via non-instructional content - check in on your students health, learn more about how they're spending their days, or play a funny game.
We’ll share Pear Deck resources and make time for you to collaborate and share with other educators about what’s working and where you need help in staying connected.
TEACHING REMOTELY WITH STUDENT-PACED MODE

Explore the expansive capabilities of Student-Paced Mode for remote learning. Be ready to join the lesson with your own Google account as a student, too! You will get a full understanding of the tools from the teacher and student perspective. By the end, you'll be ready to engage your students in your own powerful remote lessons. We’ll also be sure to save time for Q&A!
